All'inizio era prevista una sua uscita ufficiale come traccia bonus nel dvd di In The Zone, ma fu poi scartata per far posto a Girls And Boys, prodotta da Linda Perry. Fu poi ripresa in considerazione per essere inserita su Blackout e per l'occasione venne aggiunta una parte rap eseguita dal rapper AC, che curiosamente riprende il ritornello di Early Mornin'. Erroneamente si attribuisce il brano al periodo Blackout, dato che nel rap si parla di eventi della vita privata di Britney ben successivi all'uscita del suo quarto album.
La traccia è uscita illegalmente in rete nell'Ottobre 2007 come parte del massiccio leak che avvenne prima dell'uscita di Blackout. La sua versione iniziale pre-2007 è trapelata nel Settembre 2011.
